ThesisHave you ever stood in Times Square at night and wondered what was lighting up that glorious place? The leadership of Nikola Tesla, the great wizard of electricity, made this happen. He triumphed over his former mentor Thomas Edison, who disapproved of Tesla’s concept of AC power. Today, his legacy is evident all around us, since most electrical devices are powered by AC power. If Tesla had not continued to work on AC after resigning at Edison’s company, perhaps we would still be using DC electricity for machinery. Lastly, other inventions such as X-ray and radio would never have been possible without the work of this ingenious, yet relatively obscure, inventor. |
